چکیده

Virtual reality (VR) helps to visualize the spatial relationships between different elements of landscape in architecture, allowing user feel designed environment and navigate through it interactively. VR can be used spaces both indoors (inside a building) outdoors (landscape). In present research, perception 3D during navigation was compared indoor outdoor virtual environments. The value experience measured with Questionnaire on User eXperience Immersive Environments, analyzing presence, engagement, immersion, flow, skill, emotion, usability, technology adoption, judgment consequence subscales. overall self-reported experience, results showed that higher open environments than closed ones. Regarding subscales, existence obstacles limits freedom movement, which causes lesser sense presence. A more fluid also generates positive effects flow subscale. environments, lighting shadows, help orientation tasks navigation, facilitates increases immersion. light plays less important role navigation.

Living Lab Research Landscape: From User Centred Design and User Experience towards User Cocreation

New paradigms, such as Open Innovation (Chesbrough, 2003) and Web 2.0 (O’Reilly, 2004) as well as Living Labs operating as a User Centred Open Innovation Ecosystem (Pallot, 2009), promote a more proactive role of users in the R&D process. However, a number of existing methods for involving users are abundantly described in the literature, such as Lead User (Von Hippel, 2005), User Driven Innova...

VR-Smart Home - Prototyping of a User Centered Design System

In this paper, we propose a prototype of a user centered design system for Smart Homes which lets users: (1) configure different interactive tasks, and (2) express activity specifications and preferences during the design process. The main objective of this paper is how to create and to implement VR Smart Home prototype as a platform to increase user contribution in the earliest phases of desig...

A VR - User Interface for Design by Features

 We present the design of a Virtual Reality based user interface (VR-UI). It is the interface for the VR-DIS system, a design application for the Building and Construction industry (VR-DIS stands for Virtual Reality-Design Information System). The interface is characterised by a mixed representation of the task domain: an analogue " mock-up view " is being integrated with a descriptive " featu...

User Centred Methods for Gathering VR Design Tool Requirements

This paper addresses the use of VR to facilitate design tasks in the early stages of a product design process. A preliminary exploratory study, involving over thirty interviews amongst four industrial partners, revealed only few occurrences of VR being used in the early stages of design. While the potential benefits of the applications are generally acknowledged, product designers lack the appr...

Distributed User Experience in Persuasive Technology Environments

An increasing number of persuasive technology systems consist of multiple devices that enable efficient just-in-time interaction with the user. Developing multi-device systems to support a human activity bring about new challenges for interaction and user experience design. The main challenge identified in this paper is the successful designing of coherent user experience, which may improve use...
